Champions of Death

One Blood Bowl team finished and on it's way home.
These guys were a real treat to paint and I think they look pretty good (if I do say so myself!).

Now that I have finished the Champions of Death I can really crack on with the Necromantic team. I finished the second flesh golem and have made a start on a few more minis too.

Base coated and inked the armour of these guys, the cloth will be green and the ornamentation will be done in gold. Still early stages but will come together soon enough.

THese Ghouls are again base coated and will be done in the same colours as the rest of the team but with a greyish highlight to the flesh , similar to the ghouls in the other team.

These guys have not been started in earnest just yet but since they are cool minis, I had to get a pic of them up! looking forward to getting some paint down on them!

Have pretty much finished college now and have a couple of months free to get on with my hobby stuff, so fingers crossed i will get some work done at a reasonable pace now.

I have also been looking back at my Imperial Guard and will likely get back on track with those guys soon, it has been a while and there are still plenty of minis that need finishing (well it is an all infantry army, durrr!). Will get some pictures up as soon as i can and I may even set up a website for my hobby and painting stuff if i feel it will get any traffic, the hardest part is coming up with a name! and on the subject of names, my guard still remain without one set in stone. I was thinking of Cadian 249th "The Ice Raptors" or something of that ilk; what do you guys think? any suggestions?

Until next time,

Found some time!

Hi folks,

I have finally managed to clear some time from my studies to get on with some hobby related fun! and have finally finished the second batch of Hero Quest miniatures to go with this lot, which I painted last year. they will be winging there way their way home in the next couple of days.

I have had some great fun painting these and although the minis are not the greatest sculpts ever produced, they are certainly iconic and will forever remind me of my childhood.

Next up, I have managed to get some colours laid down on the GW Undead team at last although not a lot as yet. I have a few days coming up that i can dedicate to getting some serious painting done and hope to get the two Blood Bowl teams well on there way. I started with a black base coat and they painted their flesh with a few thin coats of Dheneb stone, then washed with Leviathan purple and as you can see on one reworked the flesh with Dheneb stone once more leaving the shade in the recesses. I will be taking the skin tone up a little brighter and with white for the extreme highlights.

I am still working on the conversions for the zombies so no paint has been put down on the second team, with the exception of these two AWESOME minis! Only primed and inked at the moment but eventually they will be a patchwork of various shades of necrotic fleshy goodness and i can't wait to get on with them!

Well that's all for now,

Stay frosty people.

Hero Quest and Blood Bowl

Howdy folks!

Have been working hard on my college assignments and have even managed to fit a bit of hobby time around it too!

First up is the Hero Quest expansion figures to go with the set I finished last year:

Wizards

 Undead

Men at Arms

Ogres

As you can see, they are coming along nicely and with a few finishing touches and finishing off the ogres, these very cool old school minis will be done :)

Next up I have the Blood Bowl team that I introduced in the last post, these have now had their bases filled with milliput and each of the players have a small magnet in there to stop the ball (also magnetised) from flying off under the table!

Team

 Magnetised bases

These are still in the early stages, but will have a lot more work done on them over the coming weeks. A few conversions to do on all of the zombie line men to make them a bit more Blood Bowl-esque and then it is time to lay some paint down on them.

Also on the workbench is a GW Undead Blood Bowl team, but my battery has died and my wife has "Tidied" the charger, so pics will follow on the next post. The team is built and primed and ready for a lick of paint.

Have a lot of college work over the next few weeks but should find some time to get these amazing minis sitting on my painting station done!

Until next time,
